In speed tests, take your pick between Firefox 2 and IE7. Opera is way out in front. And, of course, the non-Microsoft products tend to be more secure.

But in terms of interface, most people at home with tabbed browsing before IE7 came along opened MS's new browser and went "What the f**k is this?!". It's what you get used to, I suppose.
