If you mean why the death knell, then basically if you can use IP2 over such speeds then it is much more feasible to run entire communications networks and multimedia broadcasts over the internet at far higher quality and with far more flexibility in terms of functionality, which if properly designed would be much more stable than traditional telecoms networks. Well, actually far less stable but with the amount of failover nodes potentially available, apparently more stable.
