Bless, but its NOT going to happen!

Its no great step upwards for him. He'll get a move to a lower Prem club or, at least, a decent CCC club-Birmingham, Derby, Saints, all could afford him, all have a chance of being in the Prem next season.

What would be the point of him coming here-instead of Earnie scoring the goals and Hucks running like the proverbial headless chicken, plus nine others, we'd have Eastwood scoring the goals and Hucks running like the proverbial headless chicken...

The problem isn't with getting a goalscorer-again (do the Board see that as a sop to keep the fans happy, Ashton, Earnshaw, now talk of Eastwood) its about the need to rid the squad of 6-8 mediocre, under-performing hangers on and bringing in a similar number of, *gasp* talented footballers to get the whole thing started again-and that could take years, more to the point, who is going to want to come here anyway, we struggled to attract players in the Prem, when we had the "big" names (Helveg, Bentley) they were either ignored or played out of position.

Get more used to more cloggers like Dean Whitehead coming here and wake up and well away from the Eastwood fantasy. As far as I can see, the arrivals in Jan will be confirmation of Chadwick, plus a keeper and someone like Whitehead. Period.
