Emailing te Doomcaster

Sent a recent email to ND with regards to the naivety of the board and the current plight of our football club recently and he asked me to expand so have just sent him the following. Its a serious rant but I feel better now that I have got it off my chest!

The board being naive now where do I start?

Firstly, The naivety show by the board in believing that Nigel Worthington was the man to turn the situation round not only this time last season but this season was staggering. Any board with a modicum of common sense would have realised like 99% of Norwich fans that Nigel was not the man to take us forward and parted company with him at the very latest at end of last season in order to give a new manager a change to rebuild the squad in the close season and mount a serious promotion challenge with the benefit of the last year of parachute payments.

The board's believe in everything Nigel Worthington was staggering naive. Did no one think to question him on some of the huge wages we offered to players such as Thorne, Hughes, Robinson, Etuhu etc who are hardly even championship class (which reflects in our league position). It is a clear indication that due to the naivety of the board in having blind faith in Nigel other clubs and agents have flogged us very average players at vastly over rated prices and wages.

It makes me cringe when I see these talentless, passionless wimps run out and turn lack luster performance after lack luster performance in. They don't give a monkeys about this club they are simply journeymen there to pick up their bloated wage packets. Oh for a Robert Fleck, Bryan Gunn, Ian Crook, Jerry Goss etc who played there hearts out for the shirt.

Agents see us as a soft touch and if I remember rightly we were 2nd in the list of clubs who paid agents the most last season.

Did the board not realise that Worthington was simply hanging Steve Foley out to dry at the end of last season? As by making Steve the scapegoat it saved his skin. Surely the manger takes responsibility for everything football at a club so the buck should stop with him not one of his coaching staff. Did the board honestly think that by replacing Steve Foley and appointing Martin Hunter it would make all the difference? The way Steve Foley was treated by the football club was a disgrace. I bumped into Steve after the recent disgrace of a derby defeat at Portman Road and he told me that the Ipswich wage budget is 1/3 of our wage budget and please don't tell me that that is because their team is 1/3 as good as ours. We were lucky they did not put 6 or 7 past us on the day.

Do you honestly believe any of the PR spin you and the board churn out in the press each week as the fans don't so I don't know who you think you are kidding.

To be honest Neil I could go on and on about the naivety of the board but I don't want to waste my time or yours, I could write for hours about how we still find ourselves 19million in debt but I will spare you that.

Out of interest, You and the board have gone rather silent on your 'Charlton model' which you continually used to rabbit on about in the press. I wonder why that is? We are not and were never Charlton and Nigel Worthington is not and never was our Alan Curbishley. We are Norwich City anddon't forget it.

I have heard from various members of the board that you directors see yourself as representatives of the supporters of Norwich City. Well, we deserve better representation than we are getting. You are killing our club in front of our own eyes.

I can hardly wait for the PR 'Bull Shit' you are going to fill all the supporters with this season just before the season ticket renewal forms drop through our letter box.
