Every time Redknapp is interested in a player, what's the first thing he does? Draw up a bid? Phone the guy's manager? Nope, he gets on the blower to one of his drinking buddies in the papers. He did the same with Greeno, he did the same with that c**t Francis, he did it in the summer with Ryan Nelsen at Blackburn.

Then, when the media has kicked it around and done his dirty work for him, he'll put in a derisory bid and hope that all the stories will have turned the guy's head and, if he's really lucky, the player will start making waves to get a transfer. He is f**king scum.

Expect a bid of around ?2.25m with ?250k add-ons in the next couple of weeks.
