Not there yesterday...

...here in Devon instead, so can only go on what I have read/heard, but a couple of comments.

Hughes - the tigers got locked back in their cage when I saw him at fullback before and they're staying there. A better fullback than midfielder in my view and he does always give 100%. Sadly I am still unconvinced that 100% of what he's got is enough - but if all our players had his attitude we'd do better.

Earnie - apparently scuffed a couple of chances, well he generally does. His strike rate is still phenomenal. One of our problems is that we are totally reliant on him; we need a lot more goals to be coming from elsewhere (another striker or out of midfield), his own scoring record speaks for itself and no-one scores in every single game. God I hope we don't sell him.

Youssef - I was totally unconvinced when I heard we'd signed him but he won me over like everyone else early on. Very sad that it sounds like he's off but to be frank he hasn't rediscovered that early form for some time and is always injured.

Robinson - hated him, then he did OK for a few games. Hate him again now, though.

Grant - needs the rest of the season before any judgements are made. At least. Yes I would question a number of things he's done but give him his head and see what results he can deliver over most of a season, not a few games with a threadbare midfield-free squad he inherited from someone else.

Relegation - not going to happen; however fail to hit playoffs and, Hucks apart, expect our better players not to be here next year cos we can't afford the wages.

Camp - sign him UP!

Dion - like a lot of people I sighed loudly when we signed him but dong-related comments aside he has been simply immense. His attitude is spot on and he has the skill to back it up - as a fellow late-thirtiesite it's good to see! Hope he can still do it next year.

We're not doing ourselves any favours by being particularly s**te just now. There will be competition in the window for the better available players and we're not going to be making the decision to come to Norwich any easier.
