I personally think the whole concept doesn't really work in modern day...

Since the entire "Satellite video connecting the world" is old news.

And some (repeat SOME) acts didn't look comfortable on the stage (sounds obsurd but...) because they mime in their tours and over-produce in their studios to create something they are not.

Something the original Live Aid wasn't really guilty of.

But it's all for a good cause and it shows that the whole world can pull together time and again (September 11th, Tsunami and Live8 to name a few)...

The performance takes a back step for the meaning.
