Talking of female pop-stars playing at Wemberlee ... I was on the tube many years ago and it was packed solid. A couple of middle-aged cockernee types were chatting loudly nearby and one said to the other "fackin' 'ell, mate, it's packed!"; the other replied: "it's that Madonna; playing up at Wemberly.
