Agree-Same Error As Making Botham Captain...

Quite how the selectors have worked out that the biggest name or personality should always be Captain, I don't know-Botham was a mistake (Brearley has been one of Englands best captains in recent years, and he wasn't a character-far from it-or even what you might call a great cricketer, but by God, he knew the game and how to relate to players) and he flopped, lost form as well-now this has happened to Freddie.

Happens in other sports-I could never work out why Wilkinson was chosen to replace Johnson as England RU captain, and Beckham had far more uninspiring games as football captain than good ones.

Strauss is more of a thinker and yes, a definite better candidate.
