HURRUH! A manager with a brain!

Martin is the more intriguing one. 'Is Martin far away from the first team squad?' was the question. ?No,? was Grant's simple response.

?He's always been in my thoughts since I came - since the first day I've seen him.

?It's just that I've not had the opportunity to see more of him. I've seen him in one game for the youth team and one game for the reserve team when I thought he did ever so well.

?He knows what I think of him; I've spoken to him privately and he knows that he's got a good chance.

?And he's very close to the first team squad. I've been having to make changes all over the place in the first team and it's unfortunate - and if the boys go in, then people will say that they're not ready.

?But I think that would be a total injustice on them because these young kids are near-enough ready. But I've got to have a settled team first and I don't have that yet - I don't want to put them into that environment where I'm having to keep on changing and changing and changing the team. Not at this moment in time.?

Everything he says there cheers me up immensely for the future. On another note, where now for Ryan Jarvis!?
