until the day you try to walk to work and can't because

police have cordoned off your normal route. or you have to walk down the road knowing that a murderer will probably be driving down that road at some time on the same evening.
Then all of a sudden you may start to feel a little uncomfortable and may think that we should not be making light of the situation.
