the higher the level, and better the standard of opposition - the better the goal is. Add to that the timing of the goal - near the end of the game - and it should be seen as better.

For that very reason - Gerrard won goal of the season last year - not technically the best goal, but timing and importance could not be bettered.

In my opinion, this is a better strike than both - but at 3-1 up it carries much less importance.
