How are we "woefully lacking in midfield and defence?"

At present:

Charlton

Midfield:

Huckerby
Mcveigh
Safri
Francis
Jarrett
Jonson
Henderson

Ok the right flank still looks a bit weak but we do have decent cover for all positions and if others leave then they will be replaced!
