Playstation 2 help

Help needed. My son and his mates arent that great at keeping the ps2 discs in good condition and the fifa 2007 we bougnt not long ago is now scratched and unplayable. Sooooo Ive bought him a new one but I dont want this happening to other discs, so Ive decided to go the backup route.

Question - is there anywhere around Norwich where I can take my slimline ps2 in to be modded so it plays the backups? Ive ordered the swap magic thing but i cant seem to get it to work.
