Two or three things

1. What were the terms of payment, some companies need an invoice and pay 45 days after that

2. Have you anything in writing/email?

I would send a polite letter at first requesting payment but register it.

Mention payment was due and that interest may accrue and point out the article has been published under your name etc etc

last thing is threatening action, be polite first. Then if it comes to action the courts will be easier to manipulate,
