Whatever some on here say, it was a massive PR disaster

and he's trying to climb down without apologising. Sometimes if you apoligise you look like more of a t**t because it looks like you can't control what you say and you say things you don't mean.

For those who think it wasn't a PR disaster, you're wrong. He may have been right but if he has upset, say, 30% of the fans, then that's about 8,000 people who will now give him less of a chance than they did before. That 8,000 may be wrong and being a bit precious, but it's a fact of life and that's why you don't say things like that.
