It's a sign of the times

Fifteen years ago Carra had a real good voice. Yes, the River End (as it was) was still playing "spot the pin drop" but the Barclay had a buzz about it week in, week out. Then again, you had a core of true greats who were proud to wear the shirt, and you were proud to support them (Fleck, Fox, Bowen, Culverhouse etc).

The enforcement of an all seater stadium was no doubt the turning point, but since then i've never seen anything like the level of noise we used to have.

One of the hard facts about NCFC is that it's a family club. Father and Son, Husband and Wife, even the whole family are a large part of our support. Let's not also forget the elderly who attend every week.
None of those are gonna chant all game, nothing we can do about it.

The Grant comment sounds almost like the start of a childish tiff to me. There he is saying "you start cheering and we might perform", whereas we're sticking with "you perform and we might start cheering". Whoever gets the ball rolling, you have to agree that this very argument proves how low NCFC currently is, both in terms of playing and customer satisfaction/relations.
