I think the worst aspect of it is that it's been reported in every national paper so across the country we're being derided as crap fans by our own manager. Doesn't do much for our reputation...
I think Grant's problem is that he has no context to it all. Before he came there was a poisonous atmopshere and that, at least, has stopped.
But it will take time for people to warm to players who are simply unpopular - Robinsons, Hughes, Thorne etc.
He's working with Worthy's legacy, but he should really have taken the time to understand the problems that existed netween players/management/fans before he arrived and then he would understand why we're not all singing our heads off for 90 minutes.
Personally, I was as bored and as quiet as the next man in the first half - wish I'd brought a book. Start of the second I made an effort, we scored and the game degenerated so badly after that that it was hard to raise much passion.
I maintain that football is the only business where you can criticise your customers for not trying hard enough!
