"It was very quiet today, but that's to be expected after we played so badly in the local derby last week.
"We needed to show some passion early on today and give the fans something to cheer about.
"Unfortunately the first half was very poor, but we picked things up at the start of the second and the fans responded to that.
"But towards the end it got a bit tense and maybe that transmitted to the players. But at the end of the day it's not the fans who leave a player unmarked on the six yard box, and we're very fortunate to have sell outs every week - it's something many Championship clubs would kill for.
"Hopefully we can give them more to cheer about on Tuesday, but we really need them behind us for the full 90 minutes."
But then what do I know, I only do this for a living.
