Happy Mondays at mumblemumble in New York, '89. Supporting the pixies who were great; but the Monday's blew them away. Saw them a week later at CBGBs and Kim Deal had turned up just because she was so impressed with them.

Stone Roses at International II in Madchester in early '89. Roses were great, but really just a relentlessly brilliant weekend with PWEI the night before, close mates, women, E, football, Hacienda, Rushholme curry.
