but

before thatcherism, the UK was behind France economically, and now the tables are turned and france is the country which is lagging behind - huge unemployment, stupid public monopolies, trade unions running the country, no entrepreneurial flair. And everyone keeps telling me 'what we need is a Margaret Thatcher to take this country forward'.

Not saying I agree like, but i can appreciate that she did a lot for the UK, not all of it bad.
