First game of the season, for no apparent reason, Safri headbutts someone

Straight red and banned for 5 games. Second game of the season, Jarvis tackles someone in midfield and a free kick is awarded. "Looked harsh" says the commentary, but the ref straight reds him anyway. "Controversial incident" the commentary says as the end, so I appeal, but TV replays apparently show the ref was correct all along ...

So I'm back in FM06 for the time being, although my centre back kicked someone for no reason and I've given away more yellows than just about everyone else despite tackling being set to the lightest possible. I've heard injuries are a bit too frequent in 07, but in 06 all my specialist left and right wingers are currently in the treatment room along with Ashton and Magne Hoseth who's been there since pre-season (now Christmas 2008).
