as someone who remebers the original Live Aid of 1985 and all the hoo har around that and having Bob Geldof shouting about how we could cure Africa of all its problems by donating money - it annoys me to see 20 years on that no real progress is made and a similar event is taking place ( albeit on a bit of a smaller scale ) to try and get debt wiped out ( we were told that by contributing to Live aid we would buy food etc to alleviate poverty )

I will watch bits and bobs of it , the list of performers doesn;t look to appealing really , will not contribute or whatever , and I look forward to this time in 20 years time when Peaches Geldof organises " Live Aid 40 " to alleviate poverty and debt in Africa for a third time

There is too much corruption and political points scoring for this to be a serious thing
