It's not like a typical laddish "I'm well hard me, Sanjit, bring me a tindaloo, what what".
You can make food really really hot just by adding s**tloads of chili, so hot it hurts, but it just destoys the taste of the food, and whats the point of that?
But some types of chili (and I regard myself as something of an authority here, having grown my own chili peppers (must confess to two successive years of crop failue though)) are both very very potent and very very tasty. They not only make food so hot you call for Mother, but really really nice too.
Which I like.
