Steve, I must register a protest at your attitude to the "please buy a poppy" post further down the board.
Both my paternal grandparents were killed in action in World War 2. One of them at Arnhem in Holland. Neither of them were conscripts, they both volunteered. They "knew what they were getting into". They wanted to make sure that we, 60 years or so later, could agree to disagree in a free country instead of a facist dictatorship.
I respect your opinions totally, Steve. But please don't forget the ultimate sacrifice that was paid by so many to ensure that we can voice our opinions today without fear or prejudice.
Stick a pound in the British Legion collecting tins, and wear a poppy with pride once a year. It's not much to ask in return for what both my Grandads (both Barclay Boys of the 1930's!) and countless others gave to us.
