Hard to say how much he can achieve this year

Most consider the strongest 11 to be a match for anyone in the division, but a couple of injuries and we appear to be nowhere near as good.

I certainly don't expect much before Christmas - indeed the next couple of months are probably best used in consolidation and squad assessment (of which he already seems to have a handle). Then comes the squad strengthening - perhaps a few will be shipped out, but with an already bare-bones squad, I rather suspect he'll keep nearly everyone (especially since the main candidates probably wont make much cash anyway). It'll be interesting to see who he brings in - somehow I can't see any big money purchases. The post transfer window til the end of season period, I'd expect us to be pushing for a play-off place, but will not be too disappointed if we miss out. Next season - despite the lack of parachutes, I'd expect a bit more summer trading (perhaps even in June!) - and a very serious auto-promotion challenge.
