Yes, York is where I'm at and for the record, I haven't met Pants yet.

It's very good; parts of the campus wouldn't look out of place in the Soviet Union and there is always something going on. Only draw back is the 15 mins bus ride from the station and plethora of duck poo.

It's very cheap here: in my college bar (I am in Halifax, btw), a pint costs around ?1.80 and they usually put on some decent events. On Friday I was going to a house party on the other side of the campus and one of people in charge of the bar saw me and asked why I wasn't going to the Battle of the Sexes night! I'd forgot about it and I wish I hadn't. That said, I had a nice time eyeing up totty at this house party...
