I went to the reserves for a year or so before going to a first team game

The reserves were good in those days, we had a lot of 5-0 and 6-0 wins I remember. Lee Power was my favourite player, which carried on when I started going to the first team games - the first of which was a 3-1 win over Nottingham Forest, goals from Crook, Phillips and my hero Lee Power.
