Worthington is enjoying a break abroad after his recent sacking by the Canaries
He told The Star: "Sheffield Wednesday are a club for whom I have great respect.
"The overall situation would have to be right for Nigel Worthington and Sheffield Wednesday if there was to be any coming together.
"I have not put my name forward for the job and I have had no contact from anybody within the club.
"I wouldn't rule it out. I'm always prepared to listen."
