I've been very sceptical about all of Delia's previous appointments, especially when Worthy was made caretaker manager, but I'm very confident about this one.
We have to be realistic about this season - anything approaching a challenge for the playoffs would be a major achievement given the situation Grant finds himself in.
I also think his credentials are as good, if not better, than some of the other top candidates mentioned on here. Admittedly he didn't have anything like as good a playing career here as Crook or Bowen, but he has been there and done it all at Celtic, and as a coach he's had 3 promotions and an FA Cup final - and by most accounts he was basically managing the Bournemouth side that got promted.
