Friday's not a good day to go really

They tend to just be inside talking tactics etc on a Friday, as they will be resting before the game.

Thursday is generally the best day to go as they are normally playing a game of 11 vs 11 (or whatever the available numbers allows) on the "show" pitch, from my experience.

Anyway, I might pop over there to say hello as well, it's not far from my place.
