my take on last night...........

first game of the season (for ncfc anyway!) that i have attended - - and was pleasantly surprised!

obviously the "new manager" theory has had an effect, plus the poorest home display by birmingham i have seen since i was at the "old" st andrews in the early 80's when keith bertschin scored a hat-trick and we won 4-0!!!

All that considered however thought the lads put on a good show - first time in months i've seen so much passion and determination to fight for every ball. All seemed, for me, anyway to try as hard as they could..

earnie looks class, especially in bringing down a high ball, shame 3 of his shots were so weak after he had done the hard work......

hucks looked quick, agile,m has he lost weight or realised he has to start trying harder and chase back now theres a new manager? he gave their right back a torrid time!

I've been highly critical of the doc, but fiai play, he won everything he went for in the air against a far more expensive signing........I'd say thats the best i've ever seen him play for us!

shacks made the usual few errors, in which brum should have scored, however looked ok.......

etuhu despite fighting to win tackles still gives the ball away cheaply, seems to always look for that killer pass - wish he could keep it simple....

croft - came in and out of the game in phases - - didnt look to me like the player he was when we first signed him.........

gallacher - controlled his box, looked comfortable.....

mcveigh - - - get a hair cut and eat a salad!!!!!! nuff said!

all in all a great away win, cant remember last time we won away in the cc!!! watford??!!!!!!
