Would have been easy enough to jump over Cech but he didn't.

I think that maybe for a split second something in his head said to him "nail the keeper", and you can see a definite downwards movement towards Cech by Hunt's knee.

So although his intention almost certainly wasn't to hurt Cech, maybe part of him thought that it wouldn't be such a bad outcome.

I think that a lot of the people defending Hunt are only doing so because it's Chelsea - the way we all would have done if it happened to Man Utd in the early 90s.

If someone had done that to a Norwich keeper, I'm sure everyone on here would have been demanding a suspension.

I'm not saying it was anything like Ben Thatcher's assault on Mendes, but you have to look at it objectively.
