Couldn't really understand the point of it. It's impossible to fictionalise something like that without obscuring the facts. I kept thinking when he made some assertion or other - is that a fact or poetic licence?

I assume you've read some of his novels - very funny some of them (eg. Money, London Fields), but he seems to have disappeared up his own arsehole in recent years
