Oh dear ...

So they crashed the planes into the towers for dramatic effect? Murdered thousands of their own civilians? And then covered up one of the most scrutinised events in history? An army of structural engineers and crash investigators have determined the reasons for the collapses and I'll go with their reasoning I think. Can you imagine the hundreds - perhaps thousands - of people that would need to be involved in the planning and execution of this sort of conspiracy? You simply cannot keep that secret without something leaking out. Sadly, the truth is more banal: the intelligence services were incompetent (save one FBI agent who questioned why several muslim men were taking flying lessons) and the politicians and military simply unprepared.

Bush & Blair might well have lied afterwards to further their own political aims in Iraq (& to a lesser extent in Afghanistan) and are continuing to lie, but that's an entirely different matter. And that is something really worth investigating and spending time on.
