If Darren Eadie had his coaching badges and had been the coach of a team that finished in the top half of the prem in their first season while getting to the FA Cup final, everyone would be w**king over their keyboards for him to be appointed.
Just because they were a good player for Norwich does not mean they will be a good manager.
Just because they were an poor player for Norwich does not mean they will be a poor manager.
It is basically on the toss of a coin whether a manager will be successful at a particular club, although of course some have better chances than others.
Imagine the reaction if we had appointed some youth coach who noone had heard of and had never even played football at the top level.
Like Boothroyd, perhaps...
