What mail program do you use? Perhaps it is getting filtered to a "bulk mail" folder.

The important thing is the Canaries World is the bit you pay for - the e-newsletter is separate and that just requires a membership of the site.

On the account page, tick the one that says:

"Check to receive regular communications (electronic mail & telesales) from the club and its official partners."

but leave the other one unticked - that'll stop random companies contacting you.

If you don't want phone calls, don't put a phone number in. I doubt they'd call anyway.
