Looking at the candidates mentioned and from what has been written

I think Penney has the best cv, but Grant sounds like the one who might best sort out this team, but my opinion is worthless. We don't have the money to buy a new team - so we need someone who will gel with this squad - without actually being privy to the whole application and interview process I don't think any of us can judge at all which of them that might be. Although I will go out on a limb and say it should not be Megson.
It makes me smile that people on here lay down all sorts of criteria for what the new manager should be, all criteria which Mike Walker, for example, would have failed. The board should pick who they think is the best man for the job and we should all support him. And if that's Hunter all well and good - no doubt such an appointment would attract criticism on here and there's some that won't give him any chance - but the way I see it - a load of nerds shouting at their computers is unlikely to affect his ability to do the job.
