Penny-yes, I'd take him of the 4-but not sure if he would be able to handle the expectation, there was, and is, none at Donny, so whatever he did was a bonus. It also puzzles me as to why, many weeks after leaving them, he hasn't got another job or been approached by anyone else-as far as we know.
Crook-as a coach yes, worth a short-but then so would Malky & Iwan by that logic. As a Manager, a definite no-no.
Peter Grant-If we have even interviewed him, I would seriously consider the logic and motives of teh board. He is, and will always be, a number 2-people like Pat Rice and Steve Clarke accept that, why can't he.
Hunter-well, as soon as NW was sacked, I thought he was a shoe in for the job. All the right noises are being made by the club, all the speculation, all the goings on and alleged interviews-but, in the end, he'll get the job, I have no doubt of that, accompanied by the usual rhetoric. What would be even more alarming is that Livermore would, presumably, continue as Assistant Manager! Talk about perpetuating mediocrity!
