Against. More to the point, I'm planning on refusing to carry one.

I've no idea just how compulsory (if you follow) they'll turn out to be once the dust has settled - if it ever does - nor, obviously, what penalties will be likely for those like me who refuse them.

I have nothing to hide - or at least, I don't *think* I do, but that's another story. But my suspicions are always aroused most acutely when a government strives to push through something which is at once likely to be deeply unpopular *and* plainly daft.
