I genuinely aint starting a "Newman for Manager" campaign but for the record ...

I'm fully aware of Rob Newman's managerial background. My initial point was in response to NCFC4life who I guess somewhat tongue in cheek was suggesting Newman was a bad manager because he was bad player.

But as my reply also says, just because someone does poorly at some places in management doesn't necessarily mean they will always be poor as managers. Don't get me wrong I think there are much stronger candidates than Newman with much better track records, but whoever we end up appointing be it, Newman, Curbshly, Bowen, Reid, Hoddle, Penney or whoever the latest bout of speculation links us with, I wil support them, because first and foremost I'm a City.

One of the best things about being a football fan is you never know, I mean who would have predicted that that when Worthington was initially appointed, with his record and the links with the previous regime, he would take us to a play-off final and the premiership within 3 years? Who's to say that whoever we bring in might not hit upon the right group of player, the right tactics for those players, be the right personality for those players and might take us somewhere?
