I would say the percentage is low

How many graduates who do then get a job in their studied subject, have to start on low money, the equivalent of what they would have started on after A-Levels?

Ok, what about an example

You are an employer in advertising looking for an employee for a decent job, salary around 35k per annum, you have 2 applicants, one has worked for an advertising firm since leaving school, starting at the bottom, working his way up to a good position within the compnay gaining good experience within the industry and has good references but no piece of paper or silly hat from a Uni, he is now 22.

Applicant 2 is also 22, he has just finished a reasonbley respected degree, with average marks, with average A levels and average GCSE's. No expereience in teh trade and never had a full time job.

Now who would you employ?
