He must be getting bored again after such a long rest and could well be tempted by an attractive short-term contract. Some will remember that but for rare prudence on the part of John Bond, Keegan would, and should, have become a Norwich player during the early part of his career. He was offered on a plate to City by former skipper and then Scunthorpe manager Ron Ashman for ?35,000 but Bondy would only go to ?30,000. A few months later Liverpool paid ?60,000 for him. A bad mistake to make for five measly grand!
One thing is for sure. What we don't need just now is a manager who MIGHT make the grade. We need one who has 'been there and done that' with as high a profile as is possible. Don't get excited Mr Hoddle, I don't mean you!
