You're baffled

Doncaster said we left the Premier League with ?580,000 more than when we started ( not sure whether that includes the Francis transfer or not). Since then we received a parachute payment of ?6.7 million. Yet by January of this year there was no money to buy Robinson, or even to pay his wages. We then sold Ashton, receiving at that time according to Doncaster ?5.75 million - and signed Earnshaw for ?3.5 million. And then Croft for ?600,000. Yet on deadline day there appeared to be only the Green money to spend (and just possibly not even that since the Cotterill purchase was linked to the MacKenzie sale).
Fiddle with the figures how you like the gap remains massive.

Then there is the issue of the Jarrold Stand and the infill- which according to Doncaster were to be paid for "through revenues generated by development of other land we own in and around Carrow Road, including residential development on land behind the Norwich and Peterborough Stand and the building of a new four-star hotel in the corner between the Barclay Stand and The Jarrold Stand."

Yet, again according to Doncaster in the end the Jarrold Stand was actually paid for by borrowing, not out of revenues: "After the securitisation (which paid for the Jarrold Stand, as well as paying off short-term debt and covering our losses for the year)..."

Baffled doesn't begin to cover it. Really looking forward to seeing the accounts.
