I guess a lot of us on here are uncomfortable with

the increasing trend for fans to dish it out, and then run to the police when players react to try to get them punished. You see it all over the place now (eg Southend away and Croft last month).

Maybe Hooze's actions were a lot worse than a bit of messing about - dunno, didn't see them - and so he should be punished in some way.

But I think discomfort with this kind of crowd-action in general is probably part of it.
