All this talk of him being a 'proud' and 'honourable' man for sticking to the task and not resigning really grips my s**t. He's already admitted that the club needed a fresh start to move forward and he must surely have realised long ago that he was failing in his duties over the past couple of seasons.
So why didn't this already very wealthy man just admit he'd taken the club as far as he could and do the honourable thing and resign instead of waiting for a bumper pay-off? The club that were so loyal to him for so long, when other clubs would have lost patience long ago, were in the end shafted by him as it is pretty clear he would never have quit.
A proud man my f**king ringpiece. Greedy little s**t more like.
(And yes, in his position in the public eye and already very wealthy, I would have resigned before anyone asks)
