He really is a piece of s**t. Today, just like everybody else, I have had my fill. Worthington has shown exactly what authority he had over his players by getting precisely eff all out of them, other than Hux who was clearly not 100% fit, maybe Gallacher and maybe (just) Earnshaw. Dublin showed exactly why you would have nothing to do with him if you knew what you were doing, and I only stopped calling for his zimmer because my Hibbee mate said he would have me locked up in Bethel Street, this being the first day of age discrimination legislation.

The usual suspects called upon to give undying support to the t**t, i.e. Doherty and Robinson showed all the passion and concern of a reading room attender hoping for the latest copy of Knitting Today. Both of them were toss, and my only surprise was that Doherty managed to actually catch the guy to chop him down for his sending off offence. Slow? A Reliant Robin would have more chance of catching a Ferrari than he has of legitimately catching an opposing centre forward. Mind you, they are not alone in being blamed. I thought the lot of them, with the exceptions above were crass, and I would have given Man of the Match to Ryan Jarvis,because at least he couldn't be blamed for anything.

So, I'm glad Worthless has gone. I'm disappointed that he couldn't just resign in a proper and dignified way, but now he's got the sack, perhaps he will take time to reflect on the damage he has done to this club over the past 2 years and, with luck, maybe inflict himself on Leeds or WBA, not that there's the slightest chance of them looking anywhere near him. Macclesfield, I believe, are looking for a new manager.

For us, let's hope for someone of substance. My own preference would be for a Bowen/Crook partnership, but Curbishley would be good and I'm sure there are a number of other good candidates out there who could do us a job. Anyone but Megson (or Hoddle, or Robson or Blackwell....... oh s**t there are a lot of bad ones out there but let's hope we don't get any of them.)
