I doubt it's for the ?3.99 although exactly what he is trying to do defeats me.

That said, you don't need too many ?3.99s to get a comfortable living. If 1500 people worldwide paid me that per month, i'd be a happy man. Say there's 100 000 Norwich fans worldwide (figure from the air, no idea what the real number is), he only needs 1.5% of them to get a nice little living.
