And let me try and clarify this one time only - I don't think he is the best manager we ever had, I don't think we are guaranteed to get promoted this season and I feel he has made serious errors.

What irritates me beyond belief is the constant revisionism on this board; Walker would not have pissed away millions, Rioch would not have wasted it on loan players, Gary Holt was a donkey, Daryl Sutch the worst player ever. That kind of thing.

NW gave City fans what we wanted - promotion.
Unfortunately he couldn't keep us up and couldn't recreate the circumstances of 03-04. Yet now his name, tactics, signings, expenditure, man-management, even his press comments (FFS, what is that to do with anything?) are all considered failures.
