On the subject of Malky, hindsight being a wonderful thing

From about 2001 till 2003, Malky wasn't popular here. He was blamed for hoofing it all the time, and fans got on his back for being old and slow

Why is it now, Malky is some victorious figure, when for 2 seasons or so here, he was seen as a bit of a joke in the team (constantly blamed for hoof ball)?

Plus Flem got pots 2003/4, so where did Malky fit in this?

I agree that Malky would have been good for us in the prem, but I also remember a lot being pretty chuffed at getting ?275k for him

It's only in the aftermath, that it's seen as a regret he left
